Cry explores the concept that all humanity is connected through pain and loss. We have all cried out; for a reason, for an answer. The piece is influenced by the undulating Welsh landscape and depicts a connection between earth and humanity. Each piece is unique and positioned within a family. Cry draws on the idea that inanimate objects can carry personality and so each object is made with an opening that calls out. This opening makes a sound when blown; this collective sound has been recorded
