Introduction to Pottery for Two People

I deliver three options for Introduction to Pottery Course for two people

A full day for two of you. 3 hours each on the wheel and 3 hours hand building.

 

Each participant will have a 1/2 the day on the potter's wheel and 1/2 the day hand-building. I will take you step by step through throwing an object on the potters' wheel and stage by stage through hand-building an object. By the end of the day, you will have a hand-built object such as a mug, jug or lidded container and a number of thrown pots. All the work will be fired and glazed so they will be usable items.

 

A half day for the two of you. 2 hours each on the wheel and 2 hours hand-building. 

Each participant will have 2 hours on the potter's wheel and 2 hours hand-building. I will take you step by step through throwing an object on the potters' wheel and stage by stage through hand-building an object. By the end of the day, you will have a hand-built object such as a mug, jug or lidded container and a number of thrown pots. All the work will be fired and glazed so they will be usable items.

 

Or short half day for two of you. 1.5 hrs each on the wheel and 1.5 hours hand-building. 

Each participant will have 1.5 hours on the potter's wheel and 1.5 hours hand-building. I will take you step by step through throwing an object on the potters' wheel and stage by stage through hand-building an object. By the end of the day, you will have a hand-built a basic object such as a planter or pot and a throw object. All the work will be fired and glazed so they will be usable items.
